My Story

Hello! Shivonne here. When I started this homemade baking business, it was centered around the mind frame of how can I boost individuals morale and bring a sense of togetherness while being apart in unprecedented times.

Growing up, I suffered from depression, and I found one thing that always brought joy to my soul and made the loneliness subside was going into the kitchen and smelling the sweet aroma of my granny's fresh baked goods. When I took that bite and the flavors engulfed every one of my taste buds, if only for that moment, I felt joy. There's a reason why many of us crave those gooey desserts when we're feeling low, because, like in my situation, they come from long-established patterns like memories. Tastes, textures, and aromas that summon these positive personal memories all have the ability to make us smile.

In starting Vonne's Delights, I wanted to bring back those flavors and memories of being in granny's kitchen, and in order to do so I knew that everything had to be made from scratch, just like granny used to do. I really believe that so many things taste better when you pick good quality ingredients to bake with. Scratch means that I handpick the ingredients and design the recipe myself. Your cake will have buttercream frosting, made with real butter. Your cake will be made from farm-fresh local eggs and real butter. If you have any questions about any ingredient, feel free to ask. My recipes can be adjusted to accommodate special dietary needs. 

Homemade takes us back to our roots where the nostalgia of grandma's homemade cakes, cookies, pies, and bread puddings take us home. Home to her kitchen with the smells and feelings of love, family, and food. This is where homemade becomes a euphoric place that we felt loved, no matter what.
